David Malave is a Los Angeles-based cinematographer, photographer, & video editor who specializes in creating content for artists, music labels, and brands.
In 2018, David received the opportunity to work as a camera assistant on Beyoncé’s Grammy Award-winning film “Homecoming” detailing her historic Coachella performance. Later that summer, he went on to work as a videographer & editor on Beyoncé & Jay Z’s OTR II World Tour.
In 2023, David returned as a documentary & live show cinematographer for Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour, culminating with the release of the theatrical film RENAISSANCE: A Film by Beyoncé.
When not on the road, David has continued to create content for some of the biggest artists in the music industry including Big Sean, J Balvin, Cardi B, Travis Scott, Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys, Nas, Mora, & Eladio Carrión as well as major brands across sports & entertainment including Netflix, Warner Bros Pictures, EA Sports, NFL, MLB, Canon USA, Golden Globe Awards, and many others.
